These rules and regulations belowgovern the Board of Governors of Bow Valley College’s Expo Eggstravaganzacontest (the “Contest”). Subject to applicable laws, these rules andregulations (the “Rules”) govern all aspects of the Contest and are bindingupon all participants. If there is any inconsistency between the Rules and theconditions appearing in any other documents, these Rules shall take precedence.This Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to the laws of theProvince of Alberta and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes arisingunder the Contest will be submitted to courts located in Calgary, Alberta.
- Contest Period and Draw Date
The Contest opens at 9:00 am Mountain Standard Time (“MST”) on April 9, 2025 and closes at 9:00 am (MST) at April 17, 2025. At 10 am on April 18, 2025 a random draw will take place from all eligible entries.
The odds of an entry being selected depend on the number of eligible entries. Bow Valley College reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, delay or cancel the Contest if in its sole discretion it determines that the fairness or integrity of the Contest has been materially compromised.
- Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of Alberta, Canada, who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry into the Contest. Residents of Quebec are excluded from participating in the Contest. Employees of Bow Valley College are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Bow Valley College reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify at any time an entrant who does not meet the Contest’s eligibility criteria, fails to comply with these Rules, attempts to enter the Contest in any manner or through any means other than as described in these Rules, or attempts to disrupt the Contest or to circumvent any of these Rules.
- How To Enter
There is no fee to enter the Contest, and no purchase is necessary. Eligible individuals may enter the Contest by watching the following Bow Valley College’s Centre for Entertainment Arts commercials and finding three (3) hidden Easter eggs:

Only one (1) entry per participant. Multiple entries by one person may result in disqualification from the Contest. All entries become the sole and exclusive property of Bow Valley College and will not be returned. Bow Valley College is not responsible for any problems resulting from mechanical errors, including, but not limited to, prizes awarded or not awarded due to computer error or failed network connections, however, caused. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if falsified, altered or tampered with in any way.
Bow Valley College reserves the right to make changes to the Contest and these Rules, including the right to substitute a prize with a prize of equal or greater value where necessary due to changing business, operational and marketing considerations.
- Prizes
There is one (1) prize to be won:
a. Four (4) multi-day tickets to the Calgary Expo taking place on April 24 – 27, 2025, valued at $556 (Canadian dollars).
The prize winners will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail immediately after the random draw. If a prize winner cannot be contacted after two (2) business days, or the prize winner does not meet the criteria contained in these Rules, another entrant will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries.
The prize winner must collect their prize in person within two (2) business days the Welcome Centre at Bow Valley College’s South Campus at 345 – 6th Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta, Monday through Friday during the hours of 9:00 a.m. (MST) and 4:00 p.m. (MST). If a prize winner cannot collect their prize, the prize shall lapse.
Prize winners may be required to verify their identity before receiving their prize. If the identity of a winner is disputed, another entrant will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries. To claim a prize, a selected entrant will be required to answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill testing question and sign a release of liability form releasing Bow Valley College, its officers, employees and representatives from any liability in connection with the Contest or the acceptance, possession or use of the prize. If a prize winner is a minor, the minor’s parent or legal guardian must also sign the release of liability form.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods and services. The awarding and allocation of each prize is random.
- Privacy
By participating in the Contest, entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information for the purpose of administering the Contest and the use and disclosure of their name and photograph (without compensation or liability) for the purposes of disclosing the identity of prize winners and for the general promotion of the Contest.
Bow Valley College is committed to collecting and using your personal information solely and exclusively for the Contest as provided in these Rules. The personal information is collected under the authority of the Post-Secondary Learning Act (Alberta) and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Alberta, as amended or replaced (“FOIP”). - Limitations on Liability
Prize winners must sign a release form releasing Bow Valley College from any liability arising out of the Contest, including liability arising from the participation in the Contest, acceptance and use of the prizes, and compliance with the Rules.
Bow Valley College is not responsible for contacting or forwarding prizes to winners who leave unclear, illegible, or incomplete information or for entries that are lost, misdirected, delayed or destroyed. Bow Valley College is not responsible for any prizes awarded or not awarded due to technical, mechanical, computer, or telecommunications disruption or other similar errors caused.
By participating in the Contest, each participant releases and holds harmless Bow Valley College, its governors, officers, employees, agents, consultants, representatives, promotional or advertising entities retained by Bow Valley College in connection with the Contest, from and against any actions, causes of action, liabilities, demands, claims, losses, costs and expenses of whatever nature and kind arising from, related to or connected, whether directly or indirectly, to the Contest, the Contest prizes, the Contest publicity or an entrant’s privacy rights. This indemnity shall survive the closure and termination of the Contest and the award of any Contest prizes.
